This is an orginal acrylic painting on 10”x14” wooden palette
Plein air takes such a large amount of time, dedication, and vulnerability; it is brave and moving to see someone put themselves out there and expose their artistic process to passers-by. The reference for this painting was a photograph that I took of a man peacefully painting in Boston’s Public Garden. I didn’t know then that I would one day paint it, but I found myself thinking of that man and his painting years later and how inspiring it had been for me to see that day. I hope that wherever he is, he’s still out there with brush in hand!
